Nik Ellis wins Insurance Times Tech Champion
The 2024 Insurance Times Tech & Innovation Awards Winners were announced by comedian and author Mark Watson on Thursday, 19th September, at the Royal Lancaster London.
As Insurance Times Editor Katie Scott said: “Tonight is all about recognising the partnerships, projects and achievements that pair blue sky thinking with evolving technology to create a new breed of innovative best practice that works alongside employees’ expertise to really deliver for customers. Simply featuring on one of tonight’s shortlists is an amazing achievement. You are helping to change our industry for the better.”
The judges said: “Nik Ellis is 2024’s Technology Champion because he has walked the walk when it comes to implementing technology innovations that he feels will benefit both customers and staff. It’s all too easy to simply discuss how revolutionary technology can be while leaving these projects on the shelf, but Nik has been a key instigator of new platforms within his businesses, driving impactful change.”
Nik said, “This is a huge honour but really belongs to the fantastic people at Laird and the incredible & talented team at Swiftcase. There’s a lot of hype and even fear around contemporary technology, especially artificial intelligence, so it’s been great to have the opportunity to prove its value within a business environment and benefit our people, our clients and even their end clients.
